The National Grid have energy infrastructure here, but in addition the Bishops Wood Centre is also here. This is, according to its website, "part of the National Grid’s Environmental Education Centre Network and works as a partnership between the National Grid, Worcestershire County Council and Worcester College of Technology. The centre provides educational and training programmes which involve first hand contact with the natural world and help people of all ages examine their own lives and make links between social and economic issues". The wood and the centre are only open to the public on those days when an event is being held here.
