Situated on the Maerdy Industrial Estate. Part of British Polythene Industries (BPI) plc. In 2012 this factory installed a £4.5 million recycling washplant, the largest of its kind in Europe. The new plant has the ability to recycle all the agricultural and horticultural waste plastic currently produced in Wales, such as used polytunnels or silage balewrap. This material is then recycled and turned into second life products such as building films, refuse sacks or its range of Plaswood outdoor furniture.
