The Irish Open golf tournament at Royal Portrush saw a number of special trains booked to run from Belfast Gt Victoria Street at 05.06, 06.45 and 09.00. The 08.30 to Londonderry was a six-car set running through to Portrush. This is the connection to Londonderry (09.58 ex-Coleraine) departing across the level crossing. The C3K and C4K sets are not gangwayed so there is no means of access between the sets in the event of there being an uneven distribution of passengers. 4010 is leading with 4004 at the rear.
