The main expanse of grass locates the position of the tracks leading via Ynysygeinon to Swansea. In the left background, the line to Neath can just be seen. From the mid 1870s until 1916, the Midland Railway ran through carriages from Birmingham to Swansea which called at Colbren Junction.
