What this little boat's true name may once have been I have no way of knowing, so - forgive me - I felt the need to invent one. I imagine small craft like this would have been a common enough sight along the Kent coast 60 years ago. These days the vessels you see fishing off Shellness are of very different layout, built using modern materials.
