The guard of the 1016 to Leeds chats with a prospective passenger as he waits for departure time at Knottingley. The station is a basic affair: aside from the footbridge, the only structures on the platforms are a bus shelter either side, the station being unstaffed. The provision of the shelter on the opposite platform is rather generous, considering that (at the time of posting) only one train per day departs from that side of the station.
