Re-creation of a Francis Frith photograph c1955 at http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/humberside/elloughton/photos/elloughton_E116003.htm The houses on the left have been replaced; the house on the right has a new roof and a hedge has replaced the fence. Some new houses have been built on the right. The telephone pole has gone; road markings and street lighting have been added.
