The reality is pretty much what the current mapping shows - a short section of old drystone wall in the middle of a large field, which seems to serve no particular purpose, as it's hard to see how it could have been connected to any of the existing field boundaries. It may represent the remains of some sort of 'pre-enclosure' structure, possibly associated with a long-disappeared building.
