Situated in the upper garden, the attractive design of Head Gardener's cottage together with the magnificent views over the lower garden towards Quarry Bank Mill, made this an attractive place for the Greg family to visit and they often brought guests to take tea in the gardener's front room. Although owned by the National Trust, it is currently occupied by tenants as are the other buildings in the estate.
