Taken in May 1974, this redbrick building in New Road was opened in 1904 when the House of Dickinson Guild was formed by Mr Charles Barton Smith, who was then manager of Croxley Paper Mill. For seventy years, this building had been the hub of social and cultural life in Croxley Green, until it closed on Sunday 24th November 1974. The building was demolished in 1976 and housing now occupies the site. On the left of the photo is the New Road Surgery and its postcode is WD3 3HD.
