This small supermarket, located on West St, serves Belford and the surrounding area and is the village's largest shop. It was formally a Walter Wilson's (or walter's) store, before the chain was taken over by Alldays, who in turn were taken over by The Co-operative. This is the second co-op incarnation in the village, the first was located in premises at 13 High Street. This store closed in the early 90's, some years before the groups Alldays takeover. The Co-ops departure allowed the villages Spar store to relocate to the larger High Street premises from site currently occupied by the Wooden Toy Shop Image The Spar store itself closed in 2006, leaving the Co-Op as the only chain retailer left in the village.
