Inside the Bell Tower of St Laurence Church, Blackmore

These massive timbers support the four tiered bell tower and its bells. It does seem a bit "over engineered" for the task, but they have been standing for a long time. The tower was built in 1400. So, we can only marvel at the skill of those medieval carpenters. They knew what they were doing.
