This is the northern end of the Chester Police H.Q. site. This recently demolished building is to be replaced with a modern hotel complex, so by this time next year some or all of this view will have gone. The photo is taken from the left hand wall of the second entrance to the Roodee Racecourse coming from Grosvenor Road. To the left is a small bungalow on Nicholas Street, then in the centre is the red brick Grosvenor Museum, and to the right of that is the clock tower of the old TSB bank building, which is now a restaurant.
