Mull's new hospital, to replace the rather more centrally located one at Salen, is due for completion in August 2012. It isn't, however, simply called a hospital, but a far more convoluted title, "Mull and Iona Progressive Care Centre", that meant nothing to me until I heard from an ambulanceman that that it is just a posh term for the new hospital. These days, I'm almost afraid to use the word 'spade' to refer to an implement designed for digging. Edit, 1 April 2014. It seems that common sense has prevailed after all. Image] and Image]
