The latest blue plaque to note a famous person's connection with Malvern. Evelyn Waugh stayed at the County Hotel in the 1930s. The 1845 building is more famously known as the first purpose built "Water Cure" establishment. During the war it was taken over for accommodation of scientists working on radar and it continued after the war as Park View Hostel run by the YMCA for the MOD. It is now private apartments.
