The courtyard of this Tudor building has a Judas tree (Cercis siliquastrum). Legend has it that it was this species of tree from which Judas Iscariot hanged himself after the arrest of Jesus Christ. The building dates from around 1500 and was used to house priests of the Trinity Guild. It was restored in 1963 - 68 and now contains residential flats, a meeting room and the office of the King's Lynn Preservation Society, who restored the building.
