View eastward from an Up train, towards Basingstoke and London: ex-LSWR West of England main line and junction with the Midland & South-Western Junction line from Cheltenham via Swindon and the ex-LSW line on to Southampton via Romsey. The short Down main-line freight passing the goods station is headed by Maunsell U class 2-6-0 No. 31619 (built 12/28, withdrawn 12/65).
