If you go to all the effort of de-stoning and reseeding an area of ground the art is to maintain the improvement. The field on the left has whins & thorn trees and is probably not intensively farmed, that on the right looks good but I think they may be signs of bracken infestation possibly caused by overstocking with one animal (probably sheep). I will need to look again later in the year to see what is happening.
