Glebe Cottages Row is situated at the point where St Wilfrid's Church Drive branches off Main Road. It seems that the original six cottages became unfit for habitation and were replaced on the instructions of the Rev. E. Davies because this of this being glebe land. The roofs of some of the cottages were destroyed by fire in 1876 and as a result the entire row was tiled as a substitute for being thatched.
