The house on the Hinton Admiral estate was built in 1720. Two wings either side were added in 1790. Harold Peto designed the terrace and the Rock Garden in the early 20th century. Garden designer Rupert Golby helped plan the start of the garden renovation during the 1990s. The grounds are open to the public on three days each year. The house is never open to the public.
