Unveiled by the laird, Thomas Innes of Learney, on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty's reign. The inscription reads: DIAMOND JUBILEE 1952-2012 The community of Torphins has placed this stone here to mark the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth II
