View eastward from King Charles Road bridge, towards Wimbledon and Waterloo: ex-LSWR Waterloo - Woking - West of England main line. As an Up electric semi-fast (from Alton or Portsmouth) recedes towards London, the Down express steams westward to Bournemouth West, with rebuilt Bulleid Light Pacific No. 34095 'Brentor' (built 10/49, rebuilt 1/61, withdrawn 7/67 - one of the last).
