Looking along the line towards Newport. Caldicot station is on the branch line towards Chepstow and Gloucester, on which trains run every two hours in the daytime. The mainline service from Cardiff and Newport towards Bristol and London runs parallel alongside us to the north, in a cutting as the line descends into the Severn Tunnel. If you want a train on that line, you'll need to change at Severn Tunnel Junction, half a mile ahead of us - or, more likely, just go straight there to catch your train.
