Railway bridge carrying the mainline railway from Dumfries to Kilmarnock and then on to Glasgow. There is no railway station in Mauchline at the present time although the village is rapidly becoming a major dormitory settlement for commuters to Ayr, Kilmarnock, Irvine and Glasgow.
