Part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in this instance one of the beacons that has been designed in the likeness of Britannia. Organised by the East Hoathly and Halland Carnival Society and designed by Keith Pettit with local community assistance. Saying that I did wonder if I had accidentally stumbled on a local version of the Wicker Man, perhaps a few virgin republicans are due to be sacrificed next week. The beacon is located in Image which is just off Halland Road.
