Hale Great War Memorial is sited on the green triangle in the centre of the village. The memorial was built and erected in 1920 on a small piece of, what was then, waste ground. The dedication reads: IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919
