An attractive monument installed here to celebrate the Second Millennium in 2000. The plaque reads:- "2000 A.D. Jacobs Well Millennium Monument". The monument represents a well. The village of Jacobs Well is generally believed to take its name after a well, long disappeared, which predated the village. Image
