The station buildings at Flint are Grade II listed, in 2008 work was undertaken to improve the buildings. The station was judged UK Station of the year in 2008 following the works carried out jointly by Flintshire County Council, Network Rail, Arriva Trains Wales & The Railway Heritage Trust. http://railwayheritagetrust.co.uk/
