This monument to John Gawler of Rambridge House who died in 1803, and his wife Caroline who died in 1802, is by the knight sculptor Sir Richard Westmacott. It depicts two youths in contemplation of the broken off Corinthian capital of a column, whose upper ending is now covered by a branch of weeping willow. All very symbolic.
