The sign hanging from the side wall of the Roggiett Hotel http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2956027 depicts an early outside-frame 2-4-0 locomotive of the Great Western Railway, circa 1850, the year that the South Wales Railway (now the Gloucester to Newport line) was opened through Rogiet.
