Located in Talbot Street next door to the post office. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2955739 Built as a workmen's hall and institute. The year 1897 is shown in the name and date stone above the doorway. The hall was named for the benefactor Colonel North who donated £500 towards the cost of its construction and made an annual donation of books to the library. Grade II listed in July 1997. At the date of this view, the building was the premises of Leisureland Amusement Centre.
