View NE, towards (to the right) Quakers Yard, Crumlin and Pontypool Road on the Vale of Neath line. The '7400' class was auto-fitted and there should have been plenty of ordinary 0-6-0PT around for lowly shunting work. No. 7423 was built 5/37 and withdrawn 7/64.
