The market on Bethnal Green Road was in full swing but the empty stall here and the other visible a little down Viaduct Street to the right were not needed. In the background, Weavers Fields park (whose expansion reduced the streets seen here to tiny stubs) and in particular the adventure playground in its north-east corner.
