This is the entrance to the Belton Woods Hotel when the photo was taken it was the venue for the Woodland Trust Volunteers Conference http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/en/Pages/default.aspx. One issue exercising the activists this year was the thorny question of should the Woodland Trust ONLY plant native trees? In a light hearted and lively debate Chaired by Trust President Clive Anderson the delegates thought we shouldn't get hung up about the odd exotic species creeping into the planting programme. However the current policy of natives only will remain in force.
