The A1068 has been smoothed out somewhat, probably to help the movement of coal mined in the many open cast quarries that were dug in the area. As a result there are some loops of road cut off by the newer line. The gap between old and new is now wooded. There is a no fly tipping sign, and it was noticeable how little rubbish there was on the roads here. Is there tough enforcement, or better people? Whatever the reason - send it up to Lanarkshire.
