A weak bridge on the road from Erwood to Llanstephan

The bridge crosses the Afon Bachawy. It was originally a railway bridge on the Mid Wales line: this has now been converted into a minor road, but it is hardly surprising that it cannot carry much weight. At the time when I took this photo, the Wye Valley Walk approached this bridge on the road, then went off to the left and under the bridge to follow the river for a short while before returning to the road further on. However late in 2014 I found that the permissive path beside the river had been closed, and the Wye Valley Walk continues along the minor road.
