An information board explains: "Our sewer improvement works in Regent Grove are complex and extensive. We need to collect the existing flows from the new sewers under construction inClarendon Street, and pass them through a new Storm Relief Structure which has been constructed under the large flower bed near the Town Hall, Parade. To construct the new sewer in Regent Grove we will need to carry out deep excavations on the line of the existing sewer which runs along the outside lane of the carriageway, replacing the old fewer with a new and much larger pipe."
