The settlement, at SW735280, probably dating back some 2300 years, has only a well-preserved circular perimeter as evidence of its nature. Recorded as an ancient monument in the 1600s, there are indications that an adjacent iron lode was worked in the past. Specimens of ore can still be found nearby.
