A Porsche touring round the city centre on Sunday 29 September 1985 as part of a parade of Porsches and VW Beetles. In the days before Sunday trading was introduced city centres were very quiet on Sundays, these types of events were easier to arrange and were popular as free entertainment. In the background is the Boots store which occupied the basement, ground and first floors below Hillman House tower block. It later moved to occupy part of the former Woolworths building at the Precinct cross-roads.
