The old boundary wall of Comely Gardens belonging formerly to the mansion of Green House. In the 18th century the grounds of the house were run as an Edinburgh equivalent of London's Vauxhall Gardens, providing regular open-air dances and light refreshments. The house and the grounds were sold for development in the Victorian period.
