The large sign in the middle distance shows RHYMNEY VALLEY DISTRICT COUNCIL WARNING THE PRACTICE OF GOLF AND HORSE RIDING ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA The text is in black, except for PROHIBITED in red. The sign is at least 15 years old. Rhymney Valley District Council was abolished in 1996. Its area became part of the unitary Caerphilly County Borough.
