View across the flat land surrounding the end of the runway. Beyond the runway near the end of the rainbow can be seen the tower of Yeovilton village church. For many years this was the base of the Navy Sea Harriers but the Harriers moved to Cambridgeshire and this is mostly a helicopter base. I used to live under the flight path and the noise of the Harriers taking off was very loud indeed.
