Fenton House dates from about 1686 when Hampstead was expanding westwards across the Heath. It was left to the National Trust in 1952. The house which can just be glimpsed to the left is 28 Hampstead Grove, home of George du Maurier - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_du_Maurier .
