The road to the left serves the exclusive Intake Barn estate; the only road link to this estate from Hexham town centre is a circuitous one via Dipton Mill Road and Intake Lane. To the right is a narrow muddy bridleway which leads a short way down to the nearby Wydon Park and Highford Park estates.
