This mid- to late-19th century Grade II listed former water tower, now a private house, is to be found down a stone-walled alley due east of the Abbey. It was formerly attached to Abbey House stables (themselves now flats), Abbey House being a large mansion now famed for its gardens.http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-460906-abbey-house-water-tower-malmesbury The cottages in the foreground are nos. 20-26 Oxford Street. These were rebuilt in about 1825, and were former the Jenner Almshouses, founded c. 1640 by Robert Jenner. Although the endowment was lost in 1729, they continued in occupation. A corresponding north range was demolished in the 19th century.
