View southward, towards Bristol Temple Meads and the West, also (from Dr. Day's Bridge Junction) to Bath and the South. Hawksworth 'Modified Hall' 4-6-0 No. 7921 'Edstone Hall' (built 4/50, withdrawn 12/63) is heading the 12.55 Summer Saturdays from Paignton to Wolverhampton Low Level (due c. 19.15), which will run up here to Filton Junction, round to Yate and to Gloucester South Junction, then to Cheltenham and via Stratford-on-Avon on to Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Ahead is the ex-Midland direct main line out of Temple Meads to Mangotsfield etc., subsequently dispensed with.
