View SE into Snow Hill Tunnel at the south end of Snow Hill Station, towards London and the South and West: ex-GWR West Midlands main line. Hawksworth 'Modified Hall' 4-6-0 No. 6964 'Thornbridge Hall' (built 5/44, named 6/47, withdrawn 9/65) is about to leave for Penzance on the 'Cornishman' (09.15 from Wolverhampton Low Level), as a local Goods puffs up out of the Tunnel on the Down Through line with Hawksworth '9400' class 0-6-0T No. 8415 (built 3/50, withdrawn 6/65).
