Spencer Perceval was Prime Minister from 1809-1812. He remains the only holder of the post to have been assassinated, on 11 May 1812. This memorial in St Luke's church in Charlton commemorates the event, and refers to his burial "nearby" (the body in fact lies in a sealed vault under the church). For the context of this memorial in the north aisle of the church, see Image For Perceval's Wikipedia entry, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spencer_Perceval
