St. Botolph's stands unwanted in a field. Its chancel arch dates from around 1200 A.D., the arcades from the early 13th century and the octagonal, waist-high column bases of the south arcade from about 1400 A.D. The church was closed around 1960 with ownership vested in the Churches Conservation Trust in 1975.
