Open signs, menu boards and instructions for the tricky job of finding the tea room tempted me to stop. Eventually I found it in the steading complex; it was shut. The unofficial motto of the Scottish tourist industry amongst some of its customers is "closed for refurbishment" ( ref: The Angry Corrie)
